1) The Deli - thick with digital smoke

2) Lonius - "vhs on 480p" viiiibes

3) FatVonFree - your glitch fills are masterful. love em!

the sample content was so strong, but so many beats used the same 10sec loop... (. _ .) ...and while it's cool to see how different people flip the same sample, it's (imo) not as exciting to hear the same sample flipped the same way over and over... just saying.

okay, so this seems to be a week where a lot comes bubbling to the surface...

it never dawned on me that acapellas weren't allowed...

it has always been mentioned in a different context to "no outside samples"

that's why lokal being new also misunderstood it in relation to the drums..

No Outside Samples = no use of other melodic parts of other songs

Vocal Shots - Stabs - FX - Skits  are part of the fixed ruleset...  always allowed.. unless mentioned otherwise

Acapelllas  and use of synths/keys/ instruments  should be mentioned if they are or aren't  allowed...

the FAQ hasn't been updated since 2009 but here it is:

here's a quite complete standard ruleset as reference

- Time limit between 1 and 3 mins

- Outside drums and bass allowed

- Outside keys/synths/instruments not allowed

- Outside samples not allowed

- Outside vocal cuts/skits/scratches/ fx allowed

- Acapellas allowed

now, non melodic instrument stabs etc.. I'm not totally clear on..

some things can be left to the flipper's discretion I suppose..  like vinyl crackle etc.

hopefully this will clear things up for the foreseeable future

 1. Bainzzz (Like Pete Townsend-I can't explain)

2. Joa ( Best sounding in my speakers.)

3. Butta (Perfect flipping of the sample)

Great week and the return of many great beat makers (smiles). Shout out to all. Good for clearing up the accapella vs. outside sample. I was unsure of that one myself. Battle on. Peace.
