1st  Cubscout Records

Awesome trippy vibe, well produced ticked all the boxes.

2nd Tristaño

Elegant, yet sophisticated bass weapon. The James Bond of bass.  Licence to ill. Would have been first but I’d have liked the themes to be further developed.

3rd  Elanvital

Great sound, suitably trippy very nice arrangement.

Just outside of my top 3 were Lonius and Kongchain.

Lots of great music this week.

Thanks to Joa for working with me, and thanks for the feedback on our track!

Wow guys, such a strong week. I had to go back and listen to some back to back to pick a top three.

So a lot to say...

5XVT - Super cuts from a fellow fadersmith. love the spooky feel and drops to the cuts

2n!te - low pass filter sections are really cool

KappNeffect - woo nice phat bass

Prof.Ede - great dark feel. love the backing noise/hiss/crackle and bass. def. left me wanting more

Soul-Jutsu x Joa - dream team!!!! nice bounce and sample synth treatment

Setta - nice thwump to the kiks and sharp on the chops

Cub scout - cool live bass

Sashimix - fun-kay! mad bass skills and cuts! (so close to being in my top three) great to hear more scratching

1 - tristano - woooooooooo! emotional stuff. slick harmonies and the backing organ is sweeeeeet.

2 -  per.du - super cuts and love the build to the funky drop at the start. whole package is v. nice work (so hard to call)

3 - MINK-C - crazy dope chops keeping the bounce too. nice!

1. Prof.eDe, that groove and lofi sound is so nice, I could just listen to it on repeat. Nailed this week's trippy element with the grooving bass.

2. SoulJutsu and JoaGymshoe, so trippy and different, so many details, I love it.

3. Setta, those rhythms and samples!

DJ Lody those filtered samples were smooooth

Mink-C that funky theremin and it's samples were great

tristano always love hear a live upright bass! I felt too lazy to mic mine up haha They're tricky! Respect

btw thank you all for the feedback. This community is pretty great.

no particular order:
2nite, Derek Dourish, Barry Studebaker, David Langenbacher, B-Dog (next time ;)), Huxlay, CTRL X SKILLZ, Deadpanned, elanvital, Clubscout Rec, Butta Slick, Kongchain

3rd sashimix. the whole package of a banger beat with sick bass and some scratches on top.

2nd tristaño. the simplicity, that sound, dope!

1st Soul-Jutsu x JoaGymshoe. sick sick sick collabo. thats kind of unfair you know :D

sidenote: my entry was originally built around the "Put It On" Accapella by Big L , (unfortunately) decided to remove it entirely, late in the mixing process. If I had to choose now I'd upload this version.
