Knx always got the best outfits. I agree AP wasn't the greatest for jonwayne but what about Compton? He had some good stuff there imo

I personally think Paak got an amazing voiceprint, but I preferred the live In The Dungeon version of Suede. 2 bright talents, nice record imo.

Hot new track up today.

Nothing the beat is better than Paak. That being said, the beat is grimy as fuck, wish they had grimes up the vocal recording to match a bit.

Still nice doe.

I think Knxwledge has to study some Beastie Boys, Check Your Head, or some Beatles or some shit. His loops is dope, unquestioned, but not enough change ups.

The most intersting part in the live version is when he drops the loop out for the sub drum track. So nice!!!!! Its like air, I can breath! Then come back with the ultra funk.

Still dope tho

I wrote and self-published a review of Link Up & Suede recently. Happy I listened to Venice during the research / writing process based on the fact that 2 or 3 tracks off of Link Up & Suede are originally off of Venice. My only complaint w/ the EP is its length –– 15 minutes is really, really short –– still interested in copping the 12" though…

I guess that opens it up for a sequel of sorts. Graphics, videos, sonics = dope. Definitely feeling the Knxwledge remake of "Drugs" more than the original. Looking forward to Malibu –– noticed there's no Knxwledge production on it and it's got some contributions from more mainstream acts.

What's the difference, if any, between the bronze Link Up & Suede vinyl release and the green cover? Is the green cover a digital only kind of thing or are there essentially two different editions of the project –– one w/ bonus cuts or something to that effect?

Vinyl's cover is bronze, and vinyl has instrumentals for Suede & Link up. All mentioned here.

Been listening to this a few more times, digging it more now. Didn't really care for Paak's voice much at first, but I'm learning to appreciate it. Really liked his feature on that Madlib, Blu, MED record too. Hopefully a full record of this stuff will be out at some point, looking forward to it.

Edit: lol @ my first page comments. Took awhile but I'm enjoying it now :)

^^ happens to me all the time, hahaaa. I try not to rush to opine now though, whereas in the past I'd be quick to dismiss music I really just didn't understand/ give a real chance to

One of the many reasons why I love the Stones Throw Drip. Prob wouldn't have picked this up at all, gave it more listens like I did recently. I do still wish the instrumentals would get a digital release :(

anderson.waack

have no idea why jonwayne worked him him on jonwayne is retired,

seemed forced.

i dont like this .

but hey, im an old man wtf do i know.

Love the knx beats but not a big fan of paak . Maybe we'll get an instrumental version :)

I don't think I've ever witnessed people on this forum happy about a new collaborator. And then 2 years later they eventually come around to liking them

i hate to say it

Brother. You need to hear knxwledge's material on bandcamp. He is ALWAYS doing AMAZING beat change ups. I guess that just wasn't his approach to these nxworries tracks. Listen to his song stashkrib[twrk] for a song with 3 beats in it. The last switch up is literally so good you won't believe it.

Btw everyone, j rocc premiered an exclusive nxworries song "starlite" which I found to be extremely interesting and unique. Not like link up and suede in the slightest. I might try to find a way to share it so more people know. It is in the kpfk archives on one of the adventures in stereo broadcasts. Only like a week ago
