when I was in 1st or 2nd grade, my mom worked at a middle school that had a breakdancing club. Planet Rock was the song that was paying when I walked into the cafeteria for the first time lol

some 25 year old guy named 'Ronnie' with 6 kids mean mugging me, and then I did the worm and blew everybody's goddamn minds

yep. and flylo's selections look dope

seen on internet:

Lotus kept things straightforward and throwback-ish. It’s only right that he and J Rocc chose to end things by treating us to the sounds that started it all.

Those tickled by J Rocc’s selections might want to check out his own recent radio show, in which Egyptian Lover took over the decks and spun plenty of 80s funk.

PROPS.

HeWhoIsLunchbox did you go to last concert cafe a few weeks ago to see Guilty Simpson, Homeboy Sandman, J.Rocc & Peanut Butter Wolf?

Yessir. Was very impressed with Homeboy Sandman's performance. So much energy.

agree. was very pissed at the technical failure during jrocc/pbw tho. why did it have to break in houston? argh.

I've seen J.Rocc in Houston the last 3 times he's been here, and the technical difficulties always happen right before/during his sets. He usually rocks it even harder afterward. The joint set between him and PBW was alright despite that. I lost interest shortly after they brought all those people on stage to dance; I was like the only person up front who didn't want to get up there.

cut chemist played this song at the end and it bangs. i also found all the side youtube links to be a minimal wave wormhole

Yeah Man, that's from like 1984 or something. When I was listening I thought, like CC said, that it could easily have passed for something released last year.
