Yes it can. Aiff isn't an obscure file type so it would be crazy if it couldn't. It's Apple's standard uncompressed audio format, opposed to Microsoft's standard which is wav. No worries though. I processed them as a batch which took 5 seconds whereas in Audacity there is no batch processing. I'm intrigued as to what program/hardware you are using though that doesn't accept aiff. Even the old SP-404 can load them!

There you go.... https://we.tl/wQcKCoqV2p What program/equipment are you using that isn't compatible with aiff's or mp3's? You could have converted them to wav yourself in a free audio editor like Audacity if you don't have an audio editor, but I had a spare 5mins so there you are. 😊

Time to tally up the scores for this week and it's Wolf who has won with a fierce 47 points! It was very close for 2nd (21pts) and 3rd (20pts), and Kongchain just edged it ahead of KOARAKTOR20 and myself who tied. 😎 .gerald and FatVonFree were only a point below that on 19 so it was a good close battle for the runners up slots again. Well done Wolf, and props to everyone who submitted beats this week! 😊 Wolf Kongchain KOARAKTOR20 / B-Jam vs Enos (If anyone wants a look at the spreadsheet I use to count then let me know and i'll send it over)

Great brief. Many of those traits are ones I love and are all over my usual beats. Got everything bar the sequence down for it this afternoon so will get done tomorrow, plus fire up my MatrixBrute and 'get weird' for some extra spacey FX I reckon. 😎 Liking that you have stated no acapellas. I've been a sucker for having fun with them recently but i'm keen to get back to the instrumentals.

Ah I didn't know you could use your own instruments other than for drums and bass. That's what it states in the default rules anyway. I've just finished this weeks submission and would have done things a bit differently but all good, I enjoy having more restrictive rules sometimes and just being more creative with the provided samples. 😎

  16. Second beat of the day made. I'm loving this new found level of productivity i've experienced since I started on here a few weeks ago. The rules really help me focus rather than having a thousand ideas fighting to get out. πŸ˜„ PS Congrats on the win Lonius. Ace track. 😎

    Knxwledge

I'm really glad to hear his Gladwemet release a couple of weeks ago is him back to what i've always loved him for. For a while he was losing me with a lot of the WT, MEEK and HX recent releases. Most of the time they just didn't have that Knwxledge 'magic' that the likes of Hud Dreems is full of. I can appreciate there were probably a lot of his quick jams that he pumps out daily, and they wouldn't be making it onto any 'proper' releases, but i'm not sure how I feel about artists doing that. I wouldn't like to think he was having no or little filter on his output. I can't get enough of so many of his beats, and find them very inspiring. Many are still as fresh/original, esp in the drum programming as when I first heard them years and years ago. Who else these days is on the same vibe with that same level of quality IYO? I really dig much from the likes of Diabe$e, Swarvy and Madlib, who can sometimes have the kind of vibe I love Knxwledge for (i'm talking the super loose/broken drums kind of vibe), but i'd love to hear artists who are doing something more consistently closer but hopefully with their own take on it.
