  1. STBB #551 - LATIN ARPEGGIOS

Thanks man! It's in E, and the tempo is around 140 or so give or take parts slowing up and down a bit
  2. STBB #551 - LATIN ARPEGGIOS

LATIN ARPEGGIOS WEEK! Thanks for all who voted! There's an audio file of a guitarist, and a MIDI file of the same piece, which is all chords broken up and played super fast.. If you slow the MIDI file down you get some really cool melodies, or sped up you get a wall of blazing latin dopeness! Should make for some really cool entries if used for synth or key parts.. - Use the sample, the MIDI or both - outside instruments / drums / acapellas / vocal shots / fx-stuff allowed - no outside samples HAPPY BEATMAKING! 7. STBB#548 - Flipping Chords!

STBB#548 CHORDS WEEK http://www87.zippyshare.com/v/z2CSx6ab/file.html The sample pack lets you create your own jazzy chord progression! There are 12 piano chord wavs, and also a midi file of the same chords so they can be used on any MIDI instrument All the chords are in the same key (C Minor) so if you load them all into a sampler you can hit them in any order to create an original song in C, or use them however you like, pitch them up and down etc.. wav number 1 is C minor, and the order goes up from there.. Since they're in the same key, no music theory is needed For an example: wav 1 followed by wav 2 is Mobb Deep's Give Up The Goods.. you could probably find most songs by messing about (apart from crazier stuff like prog/jazz etc) All outside instruments and samples allowed, as long as the chords are the main basis of the song in some way (you can use the midi or WAVs or both).. Hopefully I didn't screw up the piano wavs, tried to get the thread out as quick as possible this week - used Reason Pianos with no reverb or effects, sounds OK in my phones (no speakers ATM!)..worst case scenario there is the MIDI 3 Min Time Limit H A P P Y B E A T M A K I N G! Big fan of the rules!
  11. STBB #546 - 90s GARAGE SALE

Yeah the winner should make the final decision about it, that should work! If someone's had an idea for rules they've been wanting to set for a while or want to set themselves they can, or they can go 3 ways For sure man!
  12. STBB #546 - 90s GARAGE SALE

Also, if most people are cool with it I'd like to make this-week-only rule that the top 3 winners all get to choose one sample each - this should make for a really interesting next week, and encourage people to bring their best and to vote and leave feedback.. Let me know what yall think!
  13. STBB #546 - 90s GARAGE SALE

STBB 546 >>90s Garage Sale (VHS)<< Thanks Fredson Jacobs for copypaste! Samples: http://www71.zippyshare.com/v/cx7v9m5r/file.html Use as many of samples you'd like (one is OK, all is OK) to make as many (one is OK) beats as you'd like - 3 mins time limit Since all outside instruments are allowed, if the samples are too lo-fi for your taste, a cleaner sounding beat is also fine as long as it incorporates at least one of the samples noticably. This means you can basically do whatever you want as long as it's original and doesn't use any outside (melodic/bass) samples, or you can make a dope sounding lofi beat! The samples are jingles from 90s VHS intros and could make for some really interesting lofi beats. (Apologies for the quality, haven't got a working vinyl setup ATM). Since they all have a similar feel, there is a lot of them to choose from but most of the beats will still probably be comparable in sound - hopefully the best of both worlds between choice and consistency Outside melodic samples not allowed, outside bass samples not allowed Any other samples allowed - Aca/FX/Ambience etc All outside instruments allowed - Time Limit 3 Mins 1 Entry pr. person HAPPY BEATMAKING!
